About Diana

I am a Clinical Psychologist practicing from Arcadia, Pretoria.

I worked in an Intensive Care Unit as a Professional Nurse for about 15 years before embarking on the psychology career. This experience has been useful as I have a good understanding of medical conditions.

I offer psychotherapeutic services to adolescents, adults and families experiencing a variety of challenges in their lives.

The therapeutic approach that I use is underpinned by the assumption that human beings have the ability to unstuck themselves from issues that impact their psychological functioning. Therapy involves exploring different avenues and co-creating a functional, less deterministic narrative.

I completed my PhD from the University of Limpopo (Medunsa Campus) in 2015. My thesis was on how culture influences one’s understanding of Schizophrenia and the meanings that one attaches to psychotic mental illness, based on one’s cultural orientation. This is an area which I am passionate about; it allows me to be curious and seek more understanding of those meanings that individuals attach to their challenges.
